Just always deal with it respectfully. I mean, it’s, you know, these people are doing a job. You know, I think for the most part, they do it because they want to help people. It’s also their job. So, you know, their job is to give you their best professional opinion.

If you don’t like it, if you don’t agree with it — I mean, so far I’ve had every right to say, “I disagree. Thank you for the info and we’ll move on to get a second opinion on something.”

I’ve never been forced to do anything. We’ve never been pressured too heavily into any kind of treatment that we didn’t want to do.

So just always respectfully, it’s no point getting into a shouting match because if a doctor has their own opinion, obviously they have their own experience.

So you as a layperson, you know, you’re not going to change their mind. So I would just say it’s not even worth the stress. It’s not worth an argument.

Thank them for their opinion and then find the second opinion. If you don’t like the treatment path that they’re trying to push.
